About the Library Library Events In 1994, the University of Scranton formed The Friends of the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Memorial Library. The Friends are library book lovers with a mission! They want to build an endowment in the name of the Friends, increase collections in the Library, encourage gifts and bequests and interest others in their work and in its importance to the future of the University and the local community of which it is a part. 2009 Book & Plant Sale (April 24 - 26, 2008)
A variety of hardcover fiction, non-fiction, paperback books, how-to-books, flowering plants, children's books, videos, records, software, cookbooks, and tag sale items will be sold for the Benefit of The Friends of The Weinberg Memorial Library Endowment.
