Students from F.I.R.S.T (Freshman Involved in Reflective Service Together) help paint a local HeadStart classroom and work with children at a local daycare center prior to classes in the Fall of 2007.

Students raise funds to provide Thanksgiving Food Baskets for over 225 families registered with United Neighborhood Centers and local group homes.

The Community Outreach Office hosts "Trick or Treat Thru the Residence Halls" in October with local children.

End of the Year Drive End of the Year Drive End of the Year Drive

Students sort goods collected in the End of the Year Drive, which provides food and clothing for local migrant workers, stocks food pantries, provides households goods for transitional housing and fills shelter clothing giveaways.

During Interssion 2008, 24 students and 4 chaperons went to New Orleans to assist with Katrina Relief.

The Community Outreach offices sponsors Adopt an Angel and The Giving Tree projects. Gifts are donated by students, clubs, faculty and staff and are given to local Headstart children, United Neighborhood Centers and area group homes.

"Give Today, Gorge Tomorrow" is a promotional campaign by the Community Outreach Office to promote awareness of volunteer service on the Tuesday before Lent. Chocolate Fountain and food donated by the Fresh Food Company of the University of Scranton.
