Leadership Development Program

The University of Scranton leadership development program mission is to facilitate, educate and motivate students to seek out opportunities to make a significant difference when serving their current and future communities.

Goals: skill development, self reflection, experiential learning, making a difference

Board of Directors
is the steering committee for the SAO leadership development program. Sixteen SEL alumni work to develop the mission, seek and review program feedback and brainstorm new strategies to educate their peers.
Leadership Roundtable Series
is an inclusive monthly collaborating and networking session with all of the Scranton student leaders. Roundtables are facilitated by students who have completed a term with the Student Leadership Initiative.
The Royal Summit
is a 3 day, off campus spring workshop designed by the Student Leadership Initiative to help build collaborative relationships among University of Scranton student leaders.
Scranton Emerging Leaders I
is an 8 week series of workshops in the spring semester for students interested in leadership.
Scranton Emerging Leaders II
is a 10 week series of workshops in the fall semester for students who have completed SEL I. In the spring semester, participants are committed to making a needed change on campus.
Student Leadership Initiative
is a group of students who were selected to develop & implement the Royal Summit. As part of their training, students participate in the summer National Jesuit Student Leadership Conference.
The Speaker Series
brings in nationally recognized leadership educators for one time lectures on various topics.
The Leadership Awards Reception
is designed to recognize the outstanding hard work and dedication of The University of Scranton student leaders.
