Annotation

It was found in this study that adolescent girls used indirect means of hostility, while adolescent boys used physical aggression; where as direct verbal aggression was used equally by both sexes. The present study investigated whether males, as adults, start to employ indirect aggression to the same extent as females.  In the study 162 males and 176 females filled in a work harassment scale by Bjorkqvist et al.

Reaction

I found this study very interesting because it’s very stereotypical that females are stereotypically believed to use indirect means of aggression towards certain people.  Here this study actually shows females use indirect aggression in the form of social manipulation.  It also shows males use rational-appearing aggression, where as females do not.
