Abramowitz, J. S. (1997). Effectiveness of psychological
and pharmacological treatments for obsessive-compulsive disorder: A
quantitative review. Journal of Consulting
& Clinical Psychology, 65(1), 44-52.
This study was a comparison
of earlier studies on treatments for obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). The
main thing this study looked at was effect size between different cognitive
therapies and also the effect sizes of different pharmacological treatments.
I found this study interesting
because it compared the literature that had already been conducted on this
topic. It was interesting to see the differences in a study like this rather
than a study that compares participants pre- and post-treatment.
