Top 10 Ways to Save Money

  • If you go to school outside your state make sure to get a new banking account in that state (They tax you for using ATM machines that aren't your own)

  • Buy in bulk

  • Get an on-campus job

  • Buy books early used from bookstore or if possible EBay

  • Find rich roommates

  • Start with a good summer job

  • Stay away from pricey bars and stick with inexpensive drinks

  • Tutor other students: Most require a GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Don't drive a car unless necessary: Gas is expensive; Walk/Smart ride/Carpool

  • Use campus entertainment which is free instead of going out to the movies/concerts/dinner
