The validity and usefulness of the article titled “Measures
of the sheep-goat variable, transliminality and their correlates”, found
in the Psychological Reports journal was hard to determine. Because of the
website that I got this article off of, all that was available to me was
the abstract and not the entire full text article. Judging by what I read
in the abstract, this study relates to what I am interested in studying and
suggests that a correlation between paranormal belief and drug use/experience
does exist. However, because I could not fully read the method and results
sections, it is impossible to determine whether or not I would be able to
replicate a similar study and be able to judge just how valuable this study
is to my research topic. From what I can see in the abstract though, it provides
some useful information, especially the names of some scales that I would
be able to use to measure what I am interested in researching.
