Responsibilities
In my position, I assist the Director in the overall operation of the Center. I analyze and assist in the evaluation of the usage and effectiveness of services delivered by the CTLE as well as collaborate with the Director and Faculty Liaisons in determining faculty needs for teaching enhancement opportunities.
I provide instructional and program design for the development and support of traditional and web-based courses; I assist faculty in the design of instruction and the development of instructional resources; I collaborate with library staff regarding resources available to faculty and students that enhance teaching and learning, and with instructional technology staff in planning, implementing and assessing instructional support for the academic community.
Education
I hold a B.A. in Sociology and an M.S. in Instructional Technologies from Bloomsburg University. I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems from Penn State University.
Professional Interests
My interests are in distance education, most specifically web-based, as well as constructivist learning environments. My background in instructional design and technologies allows me to value the use of technology in education, its benefits and potential.
