  Welcome to the 2007 - 2008 happenings!

During the 2007-2008 academic year the Mu Omicron chapter has been, as usual, very busy.

Singin' In The RainOur first movie night was Thursday, September 20, 2007 at 7pm in The International Studies Room (STT5113). Prof O'Steen showed "Singin' in the Rain" and a lively discussion followed.  It was a great night of fun and music.  A good time was had by all who attended.

AmistadIn late November Dr. Gougeon hosted movie night at his home.  The group had pizza and viewed Amistad. Everyone enjoyed spending time at the Gougeon's lovely home and discussing the importance of the film.

PygmalionIn the November, 2007 we sponsored a trip, in conjunction with the Department of English & Theatre to New York City.  The trip began with a visit to The Cloisters, the branch of The Metropolitan Museum of Art devoted to the art and architecture of medieval Europe.  From there we continued to mid-town Manhattan to see a the Broadway production of Pygmalion, presented by The Roundabout Theatre Company.

Another trip to New York City is being planned for the end of March.  This time we will see Harold Pinter's The Homecoming.  Everyone will have free time to do some shopping or sightseeing, and what would a trip to the city be without shopping?!
