Joining the Mu Omicron Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta

To become a member of the University of Scranton’s chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, you must be a major or minor in English or Theatre, and have an overall G.P.A. of at least 3.4.  Further qualifications for the Mu Omicron chapter include:

• a 3.5 G.P.A. in all ENGL, THTR, or WRTG courses (not including WRTG 107)
• completion of at least three semesters in college and at least two courses in English Literature, Writing and/or Theatre beyond the introductory level
• local and national dues—a one-time expense

If you meet these criteria for membership, we hope you will consider applying to join us.  Induction into Sigma Tau Delta takes place in the spring semester.  Forms can be obtained from Lynn Scramuzza, the Secretary of the Department of English & Theatre, or the faculty co-moderators of Sigma Tau Delta, Dr. Joe Kraus or Dr. Rebecca Beal.
