Chapter History and Achievements

The Mu Omicron chapter of Sigma Tau Delta was installed at the University of Scranton on April 18, 1980. Over the past twenty-eight years, the chapter has grown with the English Department.  After the English Department developed a program in Theatre and established minors in Writing, Theatre, and English, the Mu Omicron chapter opened its doors to academically qualified students with majors or minors in those areas. Over the years, the chapter has regularly hosted activities ranging from faculty-student softball games, to holiday dinners, to career days. We have nominated our members for Sigma Tau Delta Scholarships with outstanding results.  Below is a chronological list of some of our milestones.
