ResNet is the University of Scranton's computer network that provides direct access to the University campus data network and the Internet to students living in University owned housing on campus and off campus.
NEW FOR 2009-2010: The Kania School of Management (KSOM) will have a required Laptop Program for all incoming Freshmen students planning to major or complete a minor in the Kania School of Management.

- Unlimited Internet and e-mail for every student living in University housing
- 10/100MB switched Ethernet ports to every student port on campus
- High speed Gigabit Ethernet backbone
- Free of charge for students, no activation or monthly fees
- Access to ANGEL on-line course tool
- Search and view educational resources such as the University of Scranton's Library online catalog and electronic scholarly journals
- View grades and transcripts, check class schedule, access financial aid information etc.
- Authentication and remediation software for protecting students and computers
- Free virus protection for your personal computer (McAfee Anti-Virus Software)
- Residential Consultants (ResCons) who are available to assist with connecting your computer to the network and other basic computing questions
- HelpDesk for questions or troubleshooting assistance
ALL from the convenience of your own room with no phone bills or other charges for the amount of time you spend connected. ResNet is free service offered by the University for the benefit of its students. Connection support is available from Residential Consultants (ResCons) by contacting the Technology Support Center (941-HELP).
