Objectives: students will identify the difference in USA gasoline price compare to New Zealand gasoline price.
Students will write a short rep

that shows that how USA is being affected by another country.

| Anticipatory set: | The teacher will begin a lesson by asking that have you heard your parents talking about the gasoline price hike up and how it was cheaper last year? | You show students a poster with the price of gasoline in USA last year and this year. |
| Procedure: | What do you think is happening to the gasoline price in the world,
especially in the country we are learning about?
Why the gas prices are going high? Remind the students the demand and supply concept that teacher had covered last week. Read the excerpts from the article. Bring out the similarities between two countries gasoline situations and compare the gasoline prices of both the countries. |
Show the gasoline price per gallon in New Zealand with the help of
poster board.
Explain that the Middle Eastern countries are not exporting as much, i.e. they have limited the supply. |
