Welcome to the homepage of The India Club at the University of Scranton. The
India Club at the University primarily aims to create a better working and
living environment for all Indian students here at the University and to create
a deeper understanding of the Indian culture and experiences.
The India Club consists of approximately 50 members from both the faculty as
well as the student body. As a club, we try to he lp new students adapt to the
new surroundings here and aim to introduce to them the wide range of activities
and resources offered by the University and the India Club. The club allows us
all an opportunity to get involved and participate in activities that may make
life in school easier and better.
In the past, India club was predominantly organized and utilized by the graduate
student enrollee at the University with little involvement by the undergraduate
community. Our hope is that we close that bridge and feed off of each other to
create a more inviting and wholesome experience on campus. It is also our hope
that both graduate and undergraduate students together bring forth the Indian
Culture on a campus wide level to raise awareness for all the rich traditions
and history we carry in our blood.
