During the 2010-2011 academic year, the Education for Justice Office is sponsoring University-wide reflection on the theme of
Peace and Reconciliation
. This will take the form of public lectures, club activities, course assignments, and informal conversation. Faculty and student research on that theme will be recognized in various ways. Individuals or
groups who hope to promote this reflection may contact the Education
for Justice Office for assistance.

"The university should be present
intellectually where it is needed:
to provide science for those who have no science;
to provide skills for the unskilled;
to be a voice for those who do not possess the academic qualifications
to promote and legitimate their rights."
- Rev. Peter-Hans Kolvenbach, S.J.
