Hello, my name is Jay DeSanto. Welcome to my website. I am going to be a freshman in college this fall at the College of the Holy Cross. I am an avid tennis player having played on four high school district championship teams. I also won the district doubles championship three straight years and finished second in district singles three straight years.

Yet, the tennis was not the hard part leading up to these accomplishments and others, because from the age of five I’ve had Nephrotic syndrome. During the years of five through fifteen, I experienced some of my darkest hours. Protein in my urine led me to a kidney biopsy, all different types of medications, swelling, a diet that drastically reduced my sodium intake, and my growth rate stunted too. These hardships were very difficult to overcome during these dreadful years. Fortunately though, I have not had a relapse in over two years, so I have created this website to possibly provide some hope for kids just like me and provide a questions and answers page for any persons that I may assist who are concerned with Nephrotic syndrome. I have also tried to provide some different links about Nephrotic syndrome in order to help others.

In addition, I am organizing the third annual Rally for NephCure tennis tournament event this summer in order to raise money for a non-profit organization called NephCure, which tries to provide some help for people combating Nephrotic syndrome and other kidney diseases.
