Dr. Zych has experience in both industry and academia. Prior to his doctoral studies he worked in the areas of product design at United Technologies and marketing planning at North American Philips. He has designed new product development studies for electronic components, university housing, food service programs and financial services.
At the University of Scranton Dr. Zych has taught Introduction to Marketing, Marketing Communications, Product and Price Management and Consumer Behavior. He believes it is crucial to help students appreciate the complexities of business, by helping them to bridge the gap between business theory and practice. He brings real-world business applications into the classroom through the use of a marketing simulation he has customized and the development of his own series of application cases.
Dr. Zych has published articles in the areas of business ethics, product development and marketing education. Other research interests include pricing, marketing communications and consumerism.
