Maureen Carroll and I wrote a paper about playing Tic-Tac-Toe on finite planes. Additionally, in our department we have a Tic-Tac-Toe on the affine plane of order 4 (the most interesting case) tournament with the winner receiving 75 dollars, and the second place finisher receiving 50 dollars. It is usually a hard fought very exciting event!
