-Ganzfeld's Experiment
Stimulation frm the environment usually contains variations or discontinuities--changes--in
luminance and surface textures. However, when we view a completely textureless
field of uniform vrightness--an entiredly homogeneous field called Ganzfeld--we
perceive an unstructured, ambiguous, and disoriented environment. The greater
the stimulus change, the greater is the perception of form qualities. (Schiffman,
H. R. 2001.Sensation and perception: an intergrated approach, pp. 149.)
