Library Tab on My.Scranton page

A Library tab is now available on the My.Scranton page.  When you log in to My.Scranton, the Library tab is at the top, next to University Links. Library hours are posted on the page. From the Library page, users have quick access to frequently consulted Library resources:  your account with books charged out or on hold and any fees incurred for Interlibrary Loan or overdues; search boxes for Library holdings in the catalog or print and online journal; links to the A-Z list of database, Ask-A-Librarian, PALCI E-Z Borrow, Library  News, Library Events and Systems Status.  There is also a link to the Library's Home Page for the full range or resources and information provided by the Library.


What's New in Databases

Constitutions of the Countries of the World Online
Constitutions of the Countries of the World Online contains the full text for the constitutions of 187 countries. Keyword searching by individual country or by country grouping based on based on geographic location, political affiliation or economic connections available as a search options from the main search screen. A Country Thesaurus has a list of country names with spelling variations, including former names.  Search results can be modified to looks at current or historical information.

Iter's Bibliography on the Middle Ages and Renaissance
Iter's Bibliography on the Middle Ages and Renaissance (400-1700) includes citations for books, journal material (articles, reviews, review articles, bibliographies, catalogs, abstracts and discographies), dissertation abstracts, and essays in books (including entries in conference proceedings, festschriften, encyclopedias and exhibition catalogs).

JSTOR Arts & Sciences II
The University of Scranton has added JSTOR Arts & Science II to its subscription to Arts & Sciences I backruns of 119 core research and society published journals in economics, history, political science, ecology, mathematics, and statistics, sociology,  humanities and social sciences. In addition to adding depth to the subject areas in Arts & Sciences I, the 125 titles in the Arts & Sciences II Collection include core journals in such new disciplines as archeology, classics, and African, Latin American, Middle Eastern, and Slavic studies.

Plunkett Research, Ltd.
Plunkett Research Online research portals include market research and trends, glossaries of industry terms, industry statistics and charts, profiles of industry-leading  public and privately held companies, company contact export features, and industry associations and organizations.  The Job Seekers Center provides profiles of leading employers and other vital data.

Sage Publications
The Library has expanded its access to journals published by SAGE to over 460 journals in business, humanities, social sciences, science, technology and medicine.

In response to requests, it is now possible to use your credit card online for Friends Membership or to purchase a Leaves of Class Raffle Ticket online.
