Services
- Media for Class Use
Media material may be reserved for use on specific dates by using the electronic request form. A 48 hour notice is requested to ensure availability of material. Note: your request is not confirmed until the MRC staff contacts you either by phone or e-mail. Equipment must be scheduled through the Office of Instructional Technologies at 7469.
- Acquistions
Recommendations for new titles are welcome and requests can be submitted directly to The MRC Supervisor or to the subject bibliographer by providing in writing the title(s), summary description, running time, and distributor. Acquisitions are made on a rolling basis throughout the year.
- Previews
The MRC often receives information on new media releases which will be shared with appropriate academic departments. Preview costs, where applicable, will be shared 50/50 by the requesting department and the MRC. Previewers are asked for their reactions by completing a brief evaluation form after previewing a title.
- Rentals
The MRC staff will assist in locating and ordering rental films/videos for classroom instruction. Contact the MRC in writing giving the title(s), summary description, use date, and running time. Requests must be submitted a minimum of 4 weeks prior to the use date. The MRC charges back 50% of the rental costs to the requesting department. Catalogs are available for reference in the MRC.
- Reserves
The MRC puts media material on reserve. Requests should be submitted in person on a Reserve Request Form, available in the MRC.
