These databases and electronic indexes are devoted exclusively to book reviews.
Book Index with Reviews
Access to nearly four million titles, fiction and nonfiction, for all ages. Includes more than 800,000 fully searchable full-text reviews from publications such as Library Journal, School Library Journal, Kirkus, Publisher’sWeekly and Choice.Book Review Digest 1983-present (Wilson WEB)
Coverage is from 1983 until the present. Access to book review excerpts from nearly 100 American and Canadian periodicals. About 7,000 books for all ages are reviewed and added to the list every year.
Many newspapers, magazines and journals regularly review books. These book reviews can be located by using the databases and electronic indexes described below.

Coverage is from 1991 until the present. Access to book reviews from hundreds of newspapers and journals, the majority of which are full text.

Historical New York Times
A searchable database of articles and full-page images of every issue of The New York Times from September 18, 1851 to December 31, 2001.

Includes the full-text of 175 Academic Press journals. Provides access to scientific journals starting with the complete 1996 issues. Over 2000 articles are added monthly. Book Review Digest (1905-present)
The best-known index to book reviews. Covers approximately 80 English and American periodicals, most of them general interest. To qualify for inclusion a book must be published or distributed in the United States or Canada. A work of fiction must receive four reviews in the periodicals covered; non-fiction must receive at least two reviews.The main body of Book Review Digest is accessed by author of the book. A typical entry will list author, title, publication information, a summary of the book excerpted from a review, and citations to book reviews. These citations will include journal title, volume, page, date, and number of words in the review; many will include an excerpt from the review.
Each volume has a subject and title index. In addition, a cumulated author and title index covers the years 1905 to 1974.
Book Review Index (1965-present)
Indexes all reviews published in over 400 periodicals. Includes foreign language books. Access is by author ofthe book. Citations to reviews do not include excerpts. There is also a title index.Magill’s Literary Annual
