What's New With Us

Turnitin.com Webinars

Turnitin.com has made numerous changes since Spring Semester 2008. For those of you who already use it in your classes, it would be beneficial to review the new features at the Turnitin.com website.

New instructional videos for students and instructors are available as are the Quick Start guides for enrolling users and the very detailed user guides in pdf format. The Originality Report video shows many new features that greatly enhance the product.

The first Turnitin webinar will be held on August 28, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. We will host this webinar in Room 305 of the Library. Please feel free to bring a lunch or a snack. Future webinars will be held every Thursday at that time through the month of September. If you cannot attend a scheduled webinar, contact Margaret Craft (craftm1@scranton.edu), Bonnie Oldham (oldhamb2@scranton.edu), or Kristen A. Yarmey-Tylutki (yarmeyk2@scranton.edu) for information on joining the session from home or your office.

Graduate Academic Integrity Tutorial

Academic integrity, recognition for the author of intellectual effort, and research as scholarly communication are hot topics among academics. The University of Scranton has joined this discussion with an Academic Integrity, Tutorial and Scholarly Research Website: http://academic.scranton.edu/department/wml/academicintegrity.html Completion of the tutorial is required for all freshmen and transfer students. Many members of the Graduate School faculty have expressed an interest in having a graduate level version of the Tutorial available for their students. The tutorial for Graduate Students will be available January 2008
