Teaching a Research Course Poses Challenges and Rewards
Although librarians at academic institutions often have faculty status, many do not ever teach a complete course on either the graduate or undergraduate level. Instruction, instead, is generally done in either single class or several class session episodes for another faculty member’s course, focusing on research methodology.

Information Literacy Grants Awarded

Virtual Reference Updates: Changing Environment
The University of Scranton in collaboration with the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU) has been offering a 24/7 virtual chat reference service since the beginning of the fall 2004 semester. The AJCU Virtual Reference Service provides online reference via a chat interface to the students and faculty of the participating Jesuit institutions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The University of Success, formerly a program administered under the Dexter Hanley College, has found a new home under the stewardship of Charles Kratz, Dean of the Weinberg Memorial Library and Information Fluency.
