Mary Gordon to Receive Distinguished Author Award
Mary Gordon, 2008 Distinguished AuthorMary Gordon, author of novels, short stories and non-fiction will be honored on May 3, 2008, with the Royden B. Davis Distinguished Author Award at 5:00 p.m. in the Ballroom of the DeNaples Campus Center. She is the McIntosh Professor of English at Barnard College. > Full story
Digitalization Project Continues
The Library's digitization projects mentioned in the preceding issue of this newsletter are progressing nicely. Over 2,000 images from the University's collection of materials have been scanned and some have made their way to the AccessPA Digital Repository (http://www.accesspadigital.org/) for the world to see. > Full story
RefWorks Simplifies Organizing Research
In Fall of 2007 the Weinberg Library acquired RefWorks, a new online service which allows the user to store and organize citations much more easily when doing research. To access RefWorks click on the Library link from the My.Scranton page, and then click on the link for A-Z Database Listing. RefWorks will be available from the menu bar near the top of the page. > Full story
ILLiad and Rapid for Interlibrary Loans
ILLiad has been up and running since October 2007. Once the user has established his/her profile with the My.Scranton login, making requests for interlibrary loans, in most cases, is a click away.> Full story
