Word 2007 - Customizing the Quick Access ToolbarFlash Video

Located in the upper left corner next to the Office Button is the Quick Access Toolbar, which provides access to some of the most popular commands (Save, Undo, Redo). This toolbar is independent of the Ribbon and can be customized to add popular commands within or not within the Ribbon.

How to:
Using either method will open the Word Options dialog box displaying the most "Popular Commands."

  1. Right click on any Tab or Group and then click on the menu "Customize Quick Access Toolbar."

                                                            OR

  1. Click on the down-arrow located on the Quick Access Toolbar and then the menu "More Commands."
  2. Select from the list and use the transfer arrow to add or remove a command.

To view additional commands click on the down arrow under the label "Choose commands from," then select from the list provided.

Note: Any existing command from the Ribbon's tab or group may be added to the Quick Access Toolbar by right clicking on the command button and choosing "Add to Quick Access Toolbar." To remove a command from the Quick Access Toolbar right-click on the command and choose "Remove from Quick Access Toolbar."
