Adding a picture to a worksheet's header or footerFlash Video

  1. Open Excel and inside a blank worksheet click on the menu File | Page Setup.
  2. Click on the tab Header/Footer and then the button "Custom Header."
  3. To insert a picture click in of the section boxes provided.
  4. Click on the "Picture" button and then navigate to the picture's location.
  5. Click on the Print Preview button. If the picture is too big, you can either change the spreadsheet's top margin or resize the picture.
  6. To resize the picture, click on the button "Page Setup." Place the cursor back in the section where the picture was inserted and then click on the button "Format Picture."
  7. When the Format Picture dialog box opens, verify that the following boxes are checked, "Lock aspect ratio" and "Relative to original picture size."
  8. Adjusting either the height or width will maintain the picture's proportion. Click on "OK" twice.
