Forcing Line Breaks in a Cell

Click on the video icon for a demonstration.

Use the [Alt]+[Enter] keys to place large amounts of data on separate lines inside a cell.

  1. Open Excel.
  2. Click inside cell "A1," and type four or five words.
  3. Press [Alt]+[Enter].
  4. Type another phrase or sentence on the next line.
  5. Repeat "Step 2" for each additional line required.
