Lock your doors and windows. Obvious advice, but an amazing number of students ignore it resulting it loss of valuables. Most burglaries take place when students leave their doors unlocked, or even open, while they're out of their room or apartment. It only takes a few seconds for someone to walk in your room and leave with your cell phone, textbooks, laptop computer or wallet.
