February Crime Prevention Tip

Sexual Responsibility Week - February 12 - 19, 2005

  • Examine and define your personal values with regards to engaging or not engaging in sexual activity.

  • Honor and support one's choice to abstain from sexual activities.

  • Communicate your personal thoughts, feelings and expectations clearly and consistently.

  • Understand that waiting to have sex doesn't mean you have to give up intimacy or an emotional connection to someone else.

  • Learn the associated risks and consequences associated with sexual activity and how you can responsibly reduce or prevent them.

  • Consider the emotional and/or physical impact of your decisions on your relationship and overall health.

  • The decisions you make today can have consequences that could affect the future.
