Planning Day 2004

In an effort to bring representatives of the University community together to consider internal strengths and weaknesses and external opportunities and threats to which the University may be compelled to strategically respond, the Planning, Assessment, & Institutional Research Office organized a day of planning. The day was facilitated by Dr. Raymond Haas, professor emeritus of the University of Virginia and past president of the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP).

This intensive day, held November the 19th, 2004, consisted of several workshop activities, culminating in a collective SWOT (strength, weakness, opportunity, threat) analysis and brainstorming of possible planning concepts and themes for 2005-2010. Participants used executive summary materials of internal and external scanning reports to inform their conversations.
