“Service Learning at the University of Scranton has provided me with countless opportunities for personal growth and reflection. As an undergraduate occupational therapy student, I performed service in a variety of settings – from a nursery school to a hospice unit. I have volunteered with children and adults with severe mental and physical disabilities, including doing service work on a Navajo Indian Reservation.

I also had the opportunity to create my own service program with adult oncology patients. I have learned so much from my service experiences and consider them to have been among the most rewarding times of my und ergraduate years.”
