Dr. Njegos M. Petrovic has been a member of the University of Scranton Department of Foreign Languages since 1967. He has held a position of a full professor of Comparative Litterature since 1974. Dr. Petrovic has written and published numerous literary essays, poems and short stories in Serbian, French, and English, on both sides of the Atlantic.
At this critical historical moment for his native homeland, Serbia, Dr. Petrovic intends to be an active spokesman, interpreter, and defender of the Serbian people and their historic struggle for freedom and independence. His brothers and sisters, the Serbs, have unfairly received very bad press in the world media during the past few years, and it is his intention to contribute as much as possible towards a correction of this injustice. He has no doubt that the truth will one day triumph, no matter how long it takes, and he is sure that the Serbian people will be vindicated in the future.
Dr. Petrovic and his wife Klara have two daughters, Tamara and Jasmina, one son, Petar, and one grandaughter, Natasha (Petar's child). Dr. and Mrs. Petrovic reside in Scranton, Pennsylvania. |
