The University of Scranton completed construction on a 10,000 sq-ft, 2.4 million dollar lab for the fall 2001 semester. The Exercise Science laboratory is equipped with a large amount of very sophisticated equipment used to study human body functions and the effects of exercise. Highlights include a Bod Pod, which is used as the most accurate method of determining body fat, and a 50 sq-ft hypoxic room system, which simulates 8000 ft altitudes.
