Francis X. Jordan received his B.A. and M.A. in English from the University of Scranton and his Ph.D. from St. Louis University. His specialty is modern literature, especially poetry. He regularly teaches English Inquiry, Introduction to Poetry, Modern Poetry, and the Myth of the Hero. Currently a member of the University Council, he has served as department chair, chair of the University Senate, officer of the faculty union, and member of the Faculty Senate. His avocations include gardening and bridge. He lives in Abington Township with his wife and is the father of two and grandfather of one.

Dr. Jordan specializes in the following courses:

ENLT 123: Masterworks of Western Civilization

ENLT 126: Myth of the Hero

ENLT 210: Modern Poetry
