Using Macromedia Flash

In this tutorial, you will learn the basics of Macromedia Flash 8 to create simple animations and presentations. You will find an overview of the Flash program, basic animation, importing objects and saving your document as a .SWF file. A basic knowledge of Photoshop or similar program is helpful.

Overview of Macromedia Flash

This part of the tutorial will help you become familiar with the elements and tools in Flash.
NOTE: Please read this tutorial first if you have not previously worked in any version of Flash.

Animation

Learn how to animate, fade in/out and change color and tint of text and graphics.

Importing Objects

Add your own elements to your Flash Movie! Learn how to import photos, graphics, audio and video into the Library.
NOTE: Copyright laws still apply to all media

Saving Your Flash Movie

Saving your movie as a .SWF (Shockwave File), publish as a webpage, or Export to various move files.
