Online Course Evaluation (OCE) System
Q: What is Online Course Evaluation?
The online course evaluation system is designed to replace the traditional paper-based evaluations that have been in use at the University of Scranton for many years. The Faculty Senate voted to conduct a pilot project during the Fall 2004 and Intersession 2005 semesters using a web-based Online Course Evaluation System that permits students to evaluate their courses online. For Spring 2005, a decision was made to implement the Online Course Evaluation System university-wide.
Q: Who is required to complete an online course evaluation?
Students will be requested to login to My.Scranton and complete a course evaluation for all of their courses that have not been excluded from the online course evaluation system. During regular semesters, student s will not be permitted to view their grades online until they have completed ALL of their evaluations.
Q: What courses will participate in online course evaluation?
University of Scranton Undergraduate and Graduate courses, Short courses, and Distance Education courses will be a part of online evaluation, provided they don't meet the criteria used for excluding course evaluations. Exclusion criteria includes several course schedule types, courses that have fewer than 4 students enrolled and special exceptions.

Every evaluation is read by the instructor.
