On The Blackboard...

As you know, ANGEL 7.2 Learning System will be replacing Blackboard Basic as the Course Management System (CMS) at the University of Scranton. In an effort to accommodate all faculty during the courseware changeover, an update will be made to the current Blackboard version in order to maintain its functionality with Internet Explorer 7, Microsoft Office 2007, Vista and Firefox 2.0. This update will take place prior to the Fall semester and will not impact any Summer terms. Blackboard will continue to be supported through the end of the Spring semester of 2008. The Blackboard update contains significant changes to the discussion board currently in use. For those of you who plan to use Blackboard’s discussion board in the upcoming academic year, CTLE and OIT have scheduled two Blackboard workshops that address the new discussion board functionality.
