Electronic Portfolio

Home

The University of Scranton during the Spring 2003 Semester the UofS received a grant to use electronic portfolios as a tool for performance-based student assessment in at least one program in each of the three major colleges on campus.

The electronic portfolio will function as an exit portfolio from a particular academic program and may also serve as an interview or promotion portfolio for the student author. It provides the student with an opportunity to accrue all of their credentials throughout their years at the University.

Starting with pilot groups from the departments of Communication, Education, and Business Leadership, the Center for Teaching & Learning Excellence will assist in this project to train the faculty involved and provide technical assistance to the students in this project. High-end computers, software and various other peripherals, such as video cameras, digital cameras and scanners, have been setup to enable the user to capture, store, modify and prepare these portfolios.

This E-portfolio website is designed as an aid and tutorial for users who will be creating these portfolios. To begin, please read the "Getting Started" information listed on the left-hand navigation.
