CENTER FOR GLOBAL HEALTH AND REHABILITATION

Rationale

Rationale: The College of Professional Studies has assumed a central role in the globalization of health and rehabilitation through its sustained track record in diverse settings and countries around the world. The proposed Center for Global Health and Rehabilitation will provide synergistic coordination to ensure that the College of Professional Studies remains at the forefront of globalization efforts. While thoroughly grounded within the Jesuit mission of the University of Scranton, the Center will also seek to develop and support global entrepreneurship as related to the College of Professional Studies' and University's strategic plan. Meeting the health and rehabilitation needs of poor individuals, families, and communities worldwide demand creative program planning and trained professionals with needed resources. Procuring needed resources lies at the heart of program implementation and sustainability. The Center intends to foster an entrepreneurial spirit that can ensure mission fulfillment.
