Appoint co-directors of the center
Develop a PCPS interdisciplinary committee to serve as
advisors
Secure agreements with outside resources (e.g., WHO,
USAID, World Bank) to work with the Center
Develop a functional and practical business plan for
the Center (2 to 5 year plan)
Secure external funding to support the work of the
Center
Initiate micro-financing of projects within PCPS to
develop faculty expertise
Executive Affiliation Agreements and Memorandum of
Understanding with universities and governmental/ nongovernmental organizations
in other countries
Design and prioritize global regional networks
Initiate specific projects with a high probability of
success
