MHA PROGRAM
OPPORTUNITIES

Professional Affiliations
Professional identity is important to career development. The University has a student chapter in the Higher Education Network of the American College of Healthcare Executives on campus, and membership is available to any student accepted into the graduate Health Administration Program.

Students in the Program are required to join a professional organization for health care administrators such as the American College of Healthcare Executives, Medical Group Management Association, American College of Medical Group Administrators, Healthcare Financial Management Association, American Public Health Association, American Academy of Medical Administrators, or Association for Health Care Administrators. Academic advisors can provideinformation about these organizations.

International Partnerships
Since 1995, the Department and the MHA Program have developed international partnerships in Central Europe, Eastern Europe, and Asia. Opportunities existfor faculty-student exchanges and study abroad experiences. International faculty offer guest lectures in classes, a Graduate Assistant position is devoted to international projects, and students are encouraged to expand their global awareness with other cultures. Specific course work in the curriculum offers additional opportunities for students to study and engage in international activities.
