"We are the shapers of the world of tomorrow." - Walt Disney

I entered the healthcare profession to work with people in need and to make a difference with people who are less fortunate and challenged in some unique way. After 27 years of practicing healthcare administration, I truly enjoy thecontinuous changes, challenges and growth opportunities that the profession offers. I have worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, outpatient clinics, medical group practices and ambulatory care settings. I have also worked with many professional organizations and governmental entities. During the last 10 years my interests have focused on globalinitiatives and international health care issues. Recognizing that health has no boundaries, and that we live in a global society, international healthcare requires new leadership, different strategies, collaborative efforts, and regional approaches to designing healthcareservices and systems.

Involvement with professional organizations at the local, regional and national level has enhanced my personal growth and professional learning. I am committed to working with professionals who want to grow, develop and contribute to the healthcare profession. Education is the key to acquiring skills and knowledge necessary to bring about changes in health. I love teaching and sharing knowledge in the classroom, and enjoy watching our graduates make significant contributions to the field.

In addition to serving on the faculty at the University of Scranton, I am President/CEO of HTCConsulting Group. I am a Certified Healthcare Consultant with the American Association of Healthcare Consultants, and board certified inhealthcare management by the American College of Healthcare Executives.  I have several international faculty appointments at universities in other countries. I enjoy writing healthcare articles and speaking at international and national conferences. I am a strong believer in advocacy and social justice, and I feel that professionals must devote time and effort to the community in which they live.

Some of many favorite personal activities include golf, skiing, travel, photography, and gardening.  Professional interests include international grants, writing with students, developing new ideas in other countries and teaching healthcare courses in diversity, leadership, group practice and international healthcare.
