My work in health care administration education started in 1999 when I joined the University of Scranton as adjunct faculty in the Kania School of Management and Panuska College of Professional Studies and appointed full-time in 2004. My previous executive positions at a community hospital, physician group practices, health finance, and a regional community health initiative gave me broad experience in what I teach and what our health administration programs must prepare students to do. Practical experience in the subject matter strengthens my teaching and enables me to combine theory and practice in the education of students. It has also enhanced my scholarship that has focused on the broad areas of in ternational health, integrative medicine, and community health. Aside from my professional interests, I enjoy golfing, traveling, music, and spending time with my family.ScholarshipPublications in Journal of Healthcare Management, Managing Service Quality, The Journal of International Special Needs Education, The International Journal of Innovative Higher Education, The Journal of Health Sciences Management and Public Health, and The Health Care Manager.
