Membership Classifications

 

Undergraduate or Graduate

Membership in this organization is open to all current University of Scranton students not on academic and/or disciplinary probation, and will not be restricted on the basis of race, creed, gender, color, national origin, or handicap. Membership requires payment of dues and active participation in the Society's programs and events. Honorary membership may be granted to any prominent member of the accounting profession, or past or present accounting faculty.

Special Distinctions for Undergraduate & Graduate

Scholastic Merit:
An undergraduate or graduate member that maintains at least a 3.00 overall GPA and an average 3.00 GPA in accounting courses.

 
 
Activity Merit:
An undergraduate or graduate member who attends at least eighty percent of the Society's activities during the semester.

Eligible Voting Members

Only those undergraduate and graduate members who have paid dues for the academic year and have attended at least fifty percent of the Society's activities during the current semester are eligible to vote in elections, on Society matters, and on amendments to the by-laws.
